Responsibilities: As a Full-Time Mechanical Engineering Technician at Interpack Pty Ltd, your role will be essential in supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of mechanical systems within our manufacturing processes.
Key responsibilities include:
Design and Development Support: Assist Mechanical Engineers in preparing drawings, plans, and designs for mechanical systems and equipment used in production lines.
Tool and Equipment Selection: Select appropriate tools and equipment for mechanical assembly, installation, and maintenance based on production requirements.
Mechanical Assembly and Installation: Assist in the assembly and installation of new and modified mechanical systems, including components, machine tools, controls, and hydraulic power systems.
Material and Machine Requirements Estimation: Estimate material costs, quantities, and machine requirements to support project planning and execution.
Testing and Evaluation: Perform and direct field and laboratory tests to evaluate the functionality and reliability of mechanical systems and components.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze data, carry out complex computations, and prepare detailed diagrams and reports for design validation.
Inspection and Maintenance Oversight: Organize and supervise the inspection and maintenance of machines and plant, ensuring they remain operational and efficient.
Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure that designs and finished work comply with specifications, regulations, and contract provisions, maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Requirements:
Qualification: A Bachelor's degree or a relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in a mechanical engineering or technical support role, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, design tools, and equipment maintenance, along with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with mechanical systems design, troubleshooting, and the ability to work with advanced manufacturing equipment.
Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of industry regulations, safety standards, and quality control processes within the manufacturing sector.
Communication: Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
