The Chance
We are seeking a motivated and experienced O&G; Registrar to join the Department of Health in Tasmania’s stunning North West region. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a RANZCOG-accredited unit, providing both obstetric and gynaecological care to a diverse regional community.
The Service
- ~1000 births annually, supported by experienced midwives
- Birthing suite and inpatient maternity services at North West Private Hospital (Burnie)
- Antenatal & postnatal services at North West Regional Hospital (NWRH) and Mersey Community Hospital (MCH)
- Level 4 Neonatal Unit + 8-bed Level 4 ICU
- High-risk births supported by LGH and RHH, plus local endocrinology/diabetic teams
- Comprehensive gynaecology services across NWRH, MCH and outreach clinics (Smithton, West Coast, King Island)
Training & Education
- Accredited by RANZCOG for Specialist Training & Advanced Proceduralist Training
- Active multidisciplinary education & teaching program
- Opportunities for broad clinical exposure and rural outreach experience
