The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join our Melbourne team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with highly regarded partners on complex, high-value disputes in the construction and professional risks space. You will act for insurers and insureds across a diverse portfolio of matters, including Construction PI claims and Professional Indemnity (PI).
The team works across a wide range of construction disputes from domestic building matters to large‑scale commercial infrastructure projects, providing exposure to varied claims.
What You’ll Do:
* Act as defence counsel in complex PI and construction claims, including high‑profile disputes.
* Handle a variety of construction disputes and claims across different scales.
* Manage litigation and coordinate multi‑party disputes with strategic oversight.
* Provide technical and commercial advice on construction‑related PI claims.
* Collaborate closely with the partner on emerging trends and contribute to thought leadership.
