Acu-Tech Piping Systems is seeking a qualified and experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our manufacturing team in Redbank, QLD. This full-time role is critical to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our production operations through proactive maintenance and technical support.
What You'll Be Doing
* Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to identify faults and ensure compliance with safety standards.
* Analyse and document test results in collaboration with the Production Team to support continuous improvement.
* Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and work closely with production staff to minimise operational downtime.
* Maintain and service extrusion machines, including pump and gearbox repairs.
* Prepare quotations for parts and repairs, manage supplier relationships, and source competitive quotes for non-standard items.
* Support inventory and spare parts management to ensure timely availability of critical components.
* Carry out additional duties as directed in accordance with company policies and operational needs.
Who You Are
* Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent
* Minimum5 years' experience in a similar maintenance role within manufacturing or industrial settings
* Restricted Electrical License (desirable but not essential)
* Current Australian Driver's License and Forklift (LF) License
* Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with industrial equipment
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and scheduling
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
