Responsibilities
This role is with a major Japanese machinery manufacturer.
In this role, the Finance Coordinator will support the organisation by delivering financial analysis, coordinating treasury and banking activities, and managing a wide range of administrative and operational tasks. This position is suited to someone who enjoys a balance of analytical work and corporate support responsibilities.
The role will include, but not be limited to, the following:
* Collect, validate, and analyse financial data to support business performance reviews, forecasting, budgeting, and broader planning activities.
* Monitor daily bank balances and prepare simple cashflow assessments.
* Process internal fund transfers, funding requests, and maintain related documentation under guidance.
* Prepare and consolidate information and reports for internal stakeholders and external partners, including ad‐hoc requests and scheduled reporting for decision‐making, financial services, compliance, or audit requirements.
* Assist with treasury-related tasks such as foreign exchange monitoring, risk assessment, planning, and booking FX transactions.
* Provide a broad range of administrative support, including coordinating meetings, supporting planning cycles, processing invoices, diary management, travel arrangements, and document management.
* Support organisational involvement in external business or community groups as required, including providing administrative assistance for member-based associations.
* Perform basic accounting tasks where needed, including month‐end support, reconciliations, or variance checks.
* Carry out additional duties aligned with the role's level of knowledge and experience, as directed.
* Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures, including health and safety requirements, and contribute to maintaining a safe workplace.
Your Profile
To succeed in this role, your background may include:
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (highly desirable), or equivalent experience.
* A valid driver's licence and reliable transport.
* Demonstrated experience in a financial analysis, officer, or coordinator-level role, ideally with exposure to banking or treasury operations.
* Experience within an international organisation or a cross‐cultural business environment, particularly where engagement with Japanese stakeholders is involved (preferred).
* Native‐level Japanese language proficiency and strong English communication skills (written and verbal) (highly desirable).
* Strong numerical capability and high attention to detail.
* Solid administrative and organisational skills.
* Strong commercial awareness and exposure to financial or business planning processes.
* Excellent prioritisation, time management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Advanced proficiency in general computing applications, including Google Workspace and/or MS Office, especially Sheets/Excel.
