About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant to join our Risk Advisory Services (RAS) team based in Adelaide. The Risk Advisory Team provides a full range of risk solutions to help clients navigate a diverse range of challenges, changes, and opportunities. The services the team provide includes:
* Risk Consulting
* Internal Audit
* Process Improvement – including Process Mapping and Control Remediation
* Third Party Assurance
* Business Continuity and Resilience Services
* Compliance Advisory
Key responsibilities
* Supporting the delivery of internal audits, business risk assurance and business process improvement projects in accordance with BDO's methodologies and procedures, including report writing and client communication.
* Recommending policy, procedural, process, system and control improvements where identified.
* Assisting in preparing proposals, scoping documents and reports for projects, and helping develop new methodologies and service offerings.
About you
* Experience in internal audit or related risk management.
* Ideally an accounting, law or business-related degree.
* Working knowledge of basic internal audit and risk management practices and standards (IIA and ISO 31000).
* Knowledge and experience in undertaking internal audits, risk assessments, risk management framework reviews, etc.
* Experience in internal auditing of basic financial processes and controls as well as operational processes.
