About the Role:
Reporting to an EL2 Program Manager, the EL2 Agile Coach will lead Agile capability uplift across multiple delivery teams within a major national transformation program. The role plays a critical part in supporting teams, stakeholders, and leadership to embrace agile mindsets, frameworks, and tools, while maintaining a strong delivery focus. This includes coaching individuals and squads, facilitating agile ceremonies, driving continuous improvement, and helping the agency align program delivery with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coach individuals and teams in Agile principles and practices across SCRUM, Kanban, and SAFe frameworks
* Support Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
* Mentor Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and delivery teams to build Agile maturity
* Collaborate with program leadership to align delivery teams with broader transformation objectives
* Provide strategic advice on Agile metrics, team performance, and continuous improvement opportunities
* Identify and resolve delivery impediments, enhancing team flow and velocity
* Champion cultural change that fosters collaboration, innovation, and participant-centred design
* Support adoption and optimisation of Agile tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps
* Facilitate workshops and leadership sessions to promote Agile mindsets at all levels
* Other duties as required
Mandatory Requirements:
* Extensive experience leading Agile transformations across complex programs
* Expert knowledge of Agile frameworks and methods (e.g. SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe)
* Demonstrated ability to build high-performing Agile teams and drive cultural change
* Strong facilitation and coaching skills at team and leadership levels
* Proficiency in Agile metrics and tools including Jira and Azure DevOps
* Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional delivery teams
