Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of cancer patients in our local community. At Cancer Care Wollongong (CCW), we're seeking a dedicated and experienced Administrator to join our team in a
full-time (Monday to Friday), 12-month fixed-term contract role
, with an immediate start available. As part of our passionate and dynamic team, you'll contribute to delivering high-quality, patient-centred cancer care. Reporting to the Centre Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth, efficient operation of the centre while supporting an exceptional experience for our patients.
Support and training will be provided to help you succeed in this role, including professional development opportunities during your time with CCW.
What's Involved
Patient liaison: Welcoming patients, answering calls, managing correspondence, and scheduling appointments.
Patient administration: Billing, accurate data entry in our e-management system (Mosaiq), and managing records.
Liaising with hospitals, specialists, and allied health professionals.
Supporting doctors, coordinating with nurses, and assisting allied health staff in delivering patient care.
Who You Are
Demonstrated ability to work with empathy and compassion.
Demonstrated ability to multitask.
Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.
Experience in a hospital or day hospital setting is desirable.
Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment.
What You Bring
Experience in a medical practice or oncology setting is highly regarded.
Familiarity with Medicare, DVA, and Private Health Insurance.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to use multiple software systems and proficient in Word and Excel.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
