Senior Psychologist Position
We seek an experienced Senior Psychologist to provide high-quality culturally appropriate and evidence-based psychological services to adults within the correctional facility.
* Work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver expert advice on program and clinical issues related to psychology.
* Mentor and educate staff members on effective research concepts and practices, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
* Develop and implement strategies to improve psychological services, contributing to the growth and success of the team.
The ideal candidate will possess postgraduate qualifications in Psychology with current registration. They should demonstrate recent experience in adult psychological assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation methods, including providing evidence-informed treatments for common disorders and managing complex client caseloads. Additionally, cultural sensitivity, negotiation, conflict management, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Professional development and quality improvement activities are highly valued in this position, as is a commitment to educational programs within the prison health service. A demonstrated capacity for coordination of research activity would be an asset.
