As a registered nurse, you will provide quality patient care based on the plan of care and exercise judgment in delegating aspects of patient care appropriately to licensed and unlicensed staff members. You will participate in professional development of self and staff to enhance patient-focused nursing practice, age, and population-specific to the nursing unit.
Job Responsibilities:
* Provides direct quality patient care based on the plan of care
* Participates in professional development of self and staff
* Performs timely, comprehensive assessments using appropriate techniques for data collection, analysis, interpretation, and documentation
* Develops, implements, documents, and evaluates the plan of care in collaboration with other team members
* Actively participates in unit's performance improvement initiatives
Requirements:
* Graduate of accredited college, university, or school of nursing
* Current license or permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
* Stroke in-service annually
* CPR (BLS)
* NIH Stroke Certification within 90 days from date of hire (except Pediatric and Nursery)
* ACLS certification biannually for Emergency Department, Cardiac Cath Lab, PACU, ICU, and House Supervisors
