Job Title: Family Violence Practitioner
This is a unique opportunity to work with a community housing provider in Alice Springs, supporting clients who are survivors of family violence. As a Family Violence Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals and families achieve stability and security.
* The role involves working closely with clients in 8 transitional homes, providing ongoing support and guidance throughout their journey.
* You will be responsible for ensuring that clients receive the necessary assistance to transition into long-term housing, including coordinating with Tenancy Officers to secure suitable accommodations.
* In addition to your core duties, you will also provide continued support to clients for up to 3 months after they exit the program.
About the Role:
* This position is ideal for an individual with experience working with people impacted by family violence, as well as strong skills in case management, safety planning, and referrals.
* You will be working independently, with guidance from Family Violence Management, and must have the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* A Bachelor-level qualification is preferred, but we welcome applicants with strong family violence experience and/or identified candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support clients in 8 transitional homes, providing ongoing guidance and assistance throughout their journey.
* Coordinate with Tenancy Officers to secure suitable accommodations for clients transitioning into long-term housing.
