The Opportunity
This is an excellent entry-level role for someone early in their planning career who is keen to learn, grow and gain real project experience.
You'll begin by supporting building certifiers with planning checks and compliance reviews for residential applications, giving you a strong grounding in the regulatory framework and how development works in practice.
Once confident, you'll progress into preparing and lodging Development Applications to QLD councils under the guidance of experienced planners and certifiers.
What You'll Do
Conduct planning and compliance checks for residential development applications.
Review local authority planning requirements and development standards.
Assist certifiers with preliminary assessments and documentation.
Prepare planning notes, reports and technical support files.
Gain exposure to council expectations, planning pathways and assessment requirements.
Progress into preparing and lodging DAs to council, with support and mentoring.
About You
Recently completed (or about to complete) a degree inTown Planning, Urban & Regional Planning, Environmental Planning or similar.
Strong written communication and analytical skills.
Motivated to build knowledge and grow long-term in planning and development.
Detail-oriented, organised and comfortable working with legislation and planning frameworks.
Positive communicator with a team mindset and willingness to ask questions and learn.
