About the role
Allboard Distributors are looking for a machine operator to operate a beam saw and an edge banding machine for the cabinet making industry, and also assist in store man duties as required, at our Hallam branch.
Allboard Distributors are a family owned and operated company that supply the Cabinet making, Shopfitting and Building trades with custom cut to size board products and hardware.
What you will be doing:
* Operating a beam saw to produce custom cutting pieces for customer
* Ensure correct product is used and correct sizing of pieces
* Operating a edge banding machine to apply finishing edging to pieces
* Clean and trim pieces to ensure a quality finish is achieved
* Operating a forklift to assist in unloading trucks and distribution of boards within the warehouse.
At our Hallam branch you will be joining a team of 5 others to ensure the smooth running of distribution to the building trades, this team has seen steady growth over the years and your ability to work in a small team will be critical in ensuring continued growth.
Skills required for the role:
* Ability to operate a beam saw and an edge banding machine
* Attention to detail
* Pride in workmanship
* Forklift license, preffered but not essential
* Good communication skills
