Ecological Consultant
You will be part of a dynamic team coordinating and delivering field surveys and reporting across various projects in the region.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about the environment and our community's interaction with it. As an Ecological Consultant, you will contribute to improving the balance between human growth and biodiversity conservation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the team on project tasks, focused on individual workload and delivery at the request of senior staff.
* Prepare proposals, undertake GIS mapping, field-based survey and data analysis, assist with site and targeted surveys, and demonstrate a basic understanding of environmental legislation.
* Contribute towards a positive work environment both in and outside of the office, communicating effectively across written and verbal discourse.
Requirements:
* A recognised degree in Environmental Science or other relevant tertiary education.
* A 'class c' drivers license and basic flora and fauna identification in the vegetation communities of NSW.
* The right to work in Australia and experience within ecological consulting or strong ecological survey experience.
* An understanding of environmental legislative context at the Local, State, and Commonwealth level.
