Field Visual Merchandiser - QLD
**The Role**:
- The QLD Field Visual Merchandiser is accountable for all aspects of the retail store environment in QLD with a focus on maximizing sales and profit through the implementation & execution of all VM layouts and windows set from HO whilst ensuring consistency and quality in all key stores.
- You support the National VM manager with regards to store openings, set up & national directives and develop and maintain positives relationships with the retail teams.
- You will provide feedback on the range package and analyse relevant reports to relay how the visual directives are impacting sales and if not, what action can be taken to improve this.
- The role is hands-on & you will be accountable for executing store VM standards to the VM plan as outlined by the National VM Manager.
The role is predominantly in-store with occasional requirement to be at Head Office or to travel interstate.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Implement and continuously reinforce the visual merchandising standards set by Johnny Bigg throughout your designated state.
- Analyse reports and ensure visual merchandising strategy is maximising sales
- Coach and train Area, Multi-site & Store Managers, and their team on VM standards and ensure compliance and consistency of all store standards and merchandising guidelines are adhered to and being implemented within set time frames.
- Work closely with the National VM Manager to develop and implement the VM strategy based on agreed brand objectives.
- Work alongside VM Manager on all new store openings and set-ups - including assisting VM Manager with new store floor plans and fixture distributions including prep work and packaging
- Communicate any issues or concerns and be the interface between store and Support Office.
- Assist Visual Merchandising Manager with the store inventory, campaign coordination and store distribution.
- Assist with designing and be involved in new store set ups and store openings
- Conducting store visits and work with State management team
- Ensure bi-weekly visits to the top 6 NSW stores and support other stores on an adhoc basis
- Involvement of new store openings
- Execute VM Briefs delivering to the store network in-line with marketing calendar timelines. This includes fortnightly Window & VM Updates.
- Maintain & build positive win-win relationships with the NSW Retail Team
- Communicate any visual merchandising changes to your store network.
**Experience Required**:
- Understanding retail brands and consumer behaviour in a commercial and creative way
- Strong styling ability and understanding of brand vision
- High energy and passion for visual merchandising
- Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to effectively communicate visual merchandising concepts
- Presentation skills and the ability to train store teams and conduct workshops
- Ability to give and receive feedback, has positive attitude and outlook
- Strong time management to maximise results and achieve brand strategies
- Proactive approach and shows initiative, continuously looks for way to improve work processes Project management and ability to present training and communicate vision.
- Meticulous attention to detail & works to deadlines
- Is flexible and can adapt to change when required, as well as working collaboratively within the group
- Customer focused - considering customers' needs
- Where required, the ability to lead the team and the ability to drive and motivate a team.
**Key Performance indicators**:
- Achieve a consistent success rate of a minimum of 75% of stores visited per week crossing (meeting targets).
- Maintain monthly catch ups with all state Retail Area Managers & Retail State Manager to ensure alignment with the State Retail Strategy
- Ensure all new area Managers are trained on the VM initiatives
- Create & execute the VM guides for NSW direction.
