Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough and evidence-based assessments of patients' physical conditions and functional abilities.
* Develop and implement individualised treatment plans to optimise patients' mobility, strength and overall function.
* Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and comprehensive patient care.
* Facilitate early mobilisation and rehabilitation interventions in the ICU and post-surgical wards.
* Provide education and support to patients and their families on safe and effective exercises, techniques and strategies to continue recovery and self-management.
Requirements:
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) as a physiotherapist.
* Demonstrated experience working in an acute hospital environment, with exposure to ICU, Medical/oncology and surgical wards.
* Strong knowledge and skills in physiotherapy assessment, treatments and rehabilitation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with patients, families and health care professionals.
