About the role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Disability Support Worker to work across all areas of our organisation. This hands‑on role involves supporting people with disability through supported employment, community activities, and practical tasks such as gardening, cleaning, and general maintenance.
What you'll be doing
* Providing one-on-one and group support to community members, helping them access services, secure employment and develop essential life skills
* Collaborating with local organisations and agencies to connect individuals with appropriate resources and support programs
* Organising and facilitating workshops, training sessions and social activities to build community capacity and promote inclusion
* Maintaining detailed case notes and records to monitor client progress and outcomes
* Advocating for the rights and needs of vulnerable individuals and groups within the community
* Contributing to the continuous improvement of our community development programs and initiatives
What we're looking for
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in community development, social work or a related discipline
* Demonstrated experience in a community support or case management role
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with people from diverse backgrounds
* Strong problem-solving and advocacy skills, with a commitment to empowering individuals and communities
* Knowledge of local community services, resources and support networks
* Flexible and adaptable approach to working, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
