**Our Journey**:
Support Services is responsible for the provision of non-clinical services that includes food services, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, central production kitchen, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.
We are seeking experienced Patient Services Assistants to join our Support Services permanent to work in a full-time in Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- ** Permanent Ongoing Position**:
- Sunday - Thursday (AM Shifts)
- Start time are 7.00am and 7.30am
**A Day in the Life**:
Working across the Dandenong Hospital sites your main focus role will be to provide excellent support based patient service.
A Patient Service Assistant duties include patient transfer between wards/imaging, patient turning and ward cleaning. You will work under the direction of Nursing Managers, Nursing Staff and the Support Services Leadership team.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Turning the patients (usually 4 hourly)
- Daily and discharge cleans
- Assisting with turns for washing
- Use of lifting equipment; bed movers and wheelchairs
- Patient transfers - wards / imaging
- Bed moves within unit
- Assisting with Bariatric patients
- Assisting nursing staff as requested
- Assisting physiotherapists as required

- Excellent customer service skills to provide a personable approach to our patients and visitors at Monash Health.

**What You Need**:
- Certificate III Health Services Assistant (Essential)
- Previous experience as a Patient Services Assistant in ICU (Essential) Paul
- Excellent understanding of patient identification procedures.
- Ability to comprehend and follow written instructions and procedures
- Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
- Excellent understanding of cleaning methodologies and infection control procedures
- Ability to work with a cohesive team or individually to complete daily tasks
- Basic to intermediate digital literacy
