About the Role
Working closely with experienced Partners and Managers, you will gain exposure to a variety of corporate insolvency and restructuring appointments. You'll play an active role in managing engagements, contributing directly to successful outcomes for stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting in the day‐to‐day management of corporate insolvency administrations (e.g., Liquidations, Voluntary Administrations, Receiverships).
* Conducting thorough investigations into company affairs, analysing financial information, and identifying potential voidable transactions or misconduct.
* Preparing accurate budgets and cash‐flow forecasts for businesses under administration.
* Drafting comprehensive statutory reports for ASIC, creditors, and other stakeholders.
* Implementing and monitoring appropriate financial controls on client engagements.
* Maintaining meticulous working papers and ensuring file compliance to the highest standards.
* Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients, creditors, legal advisors, and other stakeholders.
* Contributing to the team's success and actively participating in business development initiatives where appropriate.
About You
We are looking for a skilled and adaptable accountant eager to contribute to a high‐performing team. You will ideally possess:
* Experience: 2‐4 years' relevant experience, ideally within:
o A dedicated Insolvency/Restructuring practice, or
o An Audit or Business Services role within a Chartered Accounting firm, demonstrating strong analytical skills and a genuine interest in transitioning to Insolvency.
* Qualifications:
o A relevant Bachelor's degree (e.g., Accounting, Commerce, Finance).
o Hold (or be actively working towards) your CA or CPA qualification.
* Skills:
o Strong analytical and problem‐solving abilities.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective liaison with diverse stakeholders.
o High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail, essential for this field.
o Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and manage tasks independently.
o Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast‐paced and often sensitive environment.
