This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a developing Western Australian mining consulting practice and shape its future direction.
You will be the senior technical lead in WA, guiding project delivery while also playing a key role in expanding the firm's presence across the state.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
Lead the delivery of mining engineering consulting projects across open-pit and underground operations.
Oversee Concept, Scoping, PFS, and DFS level studies, including reserve evaluation and life-of-mine planning.
Provide high-level technical review and ensure quality across all mining engineering deliverables.
Advise on mine design, method selection, re-start evaluations, and statutory/regulatory requirements.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including geology, environmental, geotechnical, and H&S.
Business Development & Client Engagement
Build and expand client relationships across Western Australia.
Generate new project opportunities through networking, relationship management, and industry presence.
Represent the business professionally within industry circles, conferences, and client meetings.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead and mentor a small but growing WA technical team (mix of full-time and part-time).
Foster a culture focused on quality, collaboration, and client satisfaction.
Contribute to future organisational structure, including the potential integration of additional departments under this role.
Support the long-term strategic development of the WA business unit.
About you – must have
Strong mining engineering technical capability
Experience across mining studies, mine design, reserve evaluation, and statutory understanding
Prior experience in principal level consulting or a combination of site + consulting
Be a Competent Person of Joint Ores Reserves Committee
A proven track record of technical and commercial lead experience
