Business Development Manager (Rotating Equipment; Service Business) – Siemens Energy
You will be located in and working for our Tonsley Service Centre, a state of the art turbine and compressor repair facility. As a Client Manager, you will drive and coordinate client activity during the project development phases to deliver successful sales campaigns and customized repairs for Steam Turbines and Compressors in Oil & Gas, Mining, Industrial and Power Generation market segments. You will actively manage a designated account base, create business opportunities and drive customer satisfaction for the Tonsley Service Centre.
You will liaise with customers’ Engineering, Operation and Maintenance teams to ensure proactive business development, manage relationships and develop and implement project sales strategies to secure orders for the Tonsley Service Centre.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth for Tonsley Service Centre.
- Manage select accounts that are key to the success of Tonsley Service Centre.
- Collaborate with, and support, Client managers to secure repair opportunities for Tonsley Service Centre.
- Continuously build customer knowledge to expand and create opportunities in new markets.
- Enhance customer relationships and satisfaction with Siemens Energy.
- Develop and promote campaigns and strategies to drive sales.
- Collaborate with the team to develop repair proposals and present them to customers with a winning value proposition.
- Maintain timely market and competition situation analysis.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a minimum of 5 years of technical experience in the energy industry. Sales and business development experience is beneficial.
- Strong technical understanding of rotating equipment, with experience on steam turbines and compressors preferred.
- Ability to work independently and interact with all levels within the customer organization; strong analytical and strategic thinking with a focus on technical differentiation and value selling.
- Proven track record of profitable business growth and customer-focused mindset.
- Valuable understanding of the Australian oil & gas and industrial markets with extensive relationships across customer organizations.
- Distinct customer orientation and strong customer interface skills.
- Demonstrable evidence of successful projects or service business execution and contract negotiation.
- Team player who can influence and collaborate with multiple external and internal stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel.
