DeepOcean is an Oslo, Norway- based company which provides subsea services to the global offshore industries such as Inspection Maintenance and Repair (IMR), Subsea Construction, Cable Lay, Saturation and Air Diving as well as Subsea Trenching. Its 1,900 employees project manage and operate a fleet of Vessels, ROV's and subsea Trenchers.
DeepOcean operates mostly in the Oil & Gas and Offshore Renewables industries globally, with offices located around the world.
Location – Perth, Western Australia
Group Reporting – You report to the DeepOcean Chief HR Officer - Stavanger, Norway
Regional Reporting – Administratively report to the Managing Director, Australia
Your Direct Reports – HR Managers/Officers in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia
Group Roles and Responsibilities
Produce various reports, dashboards, and presentations for DeepOcean Group Management.
Participate in HR initiatives or projects led by the Group. Report monthly to the Group HR Department.
Oversee and be responsible for Regional HR Managers/Officers and their roles, responsibilities and duties
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum formal qualifications will be a Diploma of Human Resources with an exposure to multicultural and multi-country workplaces is essential in fulfilling this role.
1. Strategic HR Management:
Demonstrating the ability to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with DeepOcean business objectives is vital.
2. Leadership and Management:
Experienced in leading teams and managing HR functions is a key requirement for senior positions within the DeepOcean Group.
3. Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills are crucial.
4. Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:
The ability to analyse HR data, identify issues, and develop effective solutions is important.
5. Leadership and Management:
Experience in leading teams, managing performance, and developing staff is essential.
6. Knowledge of Employment Law and Regulations:
A thorough understanding of Australian employment laws and regulations is vital. An understanding of the local laws in Singapore, Malaysia & Indonesia will be beneficial.
7. Strategic Thinking:
The ability to align HR strategies with business goals and contribute to overall organizational success.
