Centre Director Job Opportunity
Our organization is seeking a passionate and innovative Centre Director to join our team at our newly funded early learning centre in Geraldton. The Centre Director will promote local involvement in the Centre by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organizations and community members to ensure decisions and planning for the cultural and educational integration and access to early childhood education services for children enrolled at the Centre are consultative and effective.
The successful candidate will work closely with our staff and management to ensure the community and families of the children enrolled in the service are engaged with, contributing to, and supported by our Service Delivery Model.
Job Description:
* Provide leadership to educators and support staff
* Create a safe, inclusive learning environment
* Design and implement holistic curriculum programs
* Build strong relationships with families
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Centre Director or in a leadership role within childcare, knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework, and strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's in early childhood education or relevant diploma with regulatory exemption
* Experience in fostering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leadership and governance
* High-level understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander issues, culture, and practices
* Community development experience targeting whole community change
Other desirable skills include tertiary qualifications in community development, governance, social work, public health, or education, and existing stakeholder relationships in the region.
