The Director is responsible for the strategic portfolio management of the Property Services Branch, an operational directorate of Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage, ensuring effective delivery of services and negotiated solutions relating to the Western Australian Planning Commission’s (WAPC) property portfolio for clients, stakeholders and government, in line with departmental and governmental objectives.
This is a permanent full-time position, however consideration may be given to applicants seeking part time opportunities. This process may be used to fill future similar permanent or fixed-term positions that may arise across the WA public sector in the next 12 months from the initial date of appointment.
To be successful for this position, you need to demonstrate:
1. Extensive experience leading and managing a large property portfolio responsible for acquisition, disposal, land and rental management.
2. Significant, in-depth knowledge of current legislation and emerging trends in property management and related business environments.
3. Extensive experience or qualification in a relevant field including (but not limited to) property acquisition and land management.
4. A strong understanding of business, financial and human resource management within a public sector context.
5. Demonstrate the behaviours within the leadership context of Multiple Area Leader as outlined below.
