* End-to-End Tendering: Prepare comprehensive, accurate estimates for complex wall, ceiling, door, and window packages.
* Value Engineering: Use your construction knowledge to identify cost‐saving alternatives and innovative delivery methods to give the firm a competitive edge.
* Sub-Contractor & Supplier Negotiation: Leverage your industry networks to secure the best outcomes for materials and specialist labour.
* Contract Review: Rigorously analyse tender documentation and project specifications to mitigate risk and ensure high‐margin delivery.
* Stakeholder Management: Act as a key point of contact for Tier 1 Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors, maintaining the firm's \"trusted partner\" status.
About You
This role is specifically designed for a Senior Estimator who wants to \"hit the ground running.\" You likely come from a Building Contractor/Head Contractor background and possess:
* Deep Construction Knowledge: A thorough understanding of how Tier 1 projects are sequenced and delivered.
* Specialist Expertise: Significant experience in interior fit‐out packages (Walls, Ceilings, and Joinery/Openings) is highly regarded.
* Commercial Acumen: You understand the \"why\" behind the numbers, with the ability to spot risks and opportunities in complex contracts.
* Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in modern estimating and measurement software (e.g., Bluebeam, CostX, or similar).
* The \"Adelaide Factor\": Ideally, you have established relationships within the SA construction market.
