We’re working with a large Federal Government agency preparing for a major operational uplift associated with a significant upcoming NPP commitment. To support this surge in regulatory and compliance activity, we are seeking motivated APS-level professionals to join a high-performing branch responsible for national compliance, assessment, regulatory intelligence and enforcement functions.
These roles offer the chance to contribute to meaningful environmental and regulatory outcomes in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
All engagements are labour hire, commencing immediately through to 30 June, with options to extend based on performance and future workload.

We are recruiting across several levels:
* APS5 Compliance Projects Officer
* APS5 Procurement Officer
* APS5 Assessment Officers (multiple)
* APS6 Senior Assessment Officers (multiple)
* EL1 Assistant Director
About the Work
Across these positions you will contribute to work that may include:
* Supporting investigations, assessments and regulatory decision-making activities.
* Reviewing allegations, environmental intelligence, satellite imagery and data associated with potential non-compliance incidents.
* Preparing high-quality briefs, correspondence, ministerial material and operational documents.
* Coordinating procurement processes, contract administration and value-for-money assessments (Procurement Officer).
* Leading small teams, providing strategic advice, and managing complex regulatory triage at the EL1 level.
You’ll be joining a branch that works closely with industry, community and government stakeholders to improve compliance with national legislation and deliver consistent, evidence-based regulatory outcomes. What You’ll Bring
Each role has specific technical requirements, but across all levels we are looking for people with:
* Strong judgement, analytical capability and attention to detail.
* Excellent written skills, able to prepare clear, accurate and defensible material.
* The ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environments with competing priorities.
* Confidence engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and contributing to team-based outcomes.
* Understanding of regulatory, compliance or environmental frameworks (advantageous but not essential for APS5 levels).
Role-specific strengths sought include:
* Projects: process improvement, policy input, operational support.
* Procurement: CPRs, contract administration, risk assessment.
* Assessments: triage, data analysis, case management systems. Familiarity with satellite imagery a bonus.
* APS6/EL1: strategic thinking, quality assurance, leadership, regulatory decision-making.
Baseline clearance preferred, but not essential; willingness to obtain a must. Why Apply?
