Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial information. We also offer home care services in multiple states and manage over 700 units in various retirement villages and independent living communities.Key Responsibilities:End-of-Month Reconciliations: Lead the month-end closing processes, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and overseeing bank reconciliations.Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial reports in line with organisational requirements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and industry regulations.Compliance and Regulatory Reporting: Handle GST, FBT returns, and assist with audits, ensuring adherence to accounting policies and regulatory requirements.Internal Controls & Process Improvement: Contribute to the development of internal controls, suggest process improvements, and support efficient financial systems.Collaboration: Work closely with the Finance Manager, operational teams, and other stakeholders to align financial goals and provide support and guidance to junior staff.What We’re Looking For:Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Business or Commerce (with an accounting major) and a CPA or CA qualification (or working towards it).Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience with a strong background in month-end reconciliations and financial reporting.Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
