Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Trade Assistant to provide vital support to our team of Trailer Maintenance Technicians and Diesel Mechanics.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist technicians in servicing, diagnosing, and repairing heavy vehicles, ensuring prompt turnaround times for efficient fleet operations.
* Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment, including tools and equipment storage.
* Conduct thorough inspections of trailers, identifying areas requiring repair or replacement.
* Support with disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling trailer components, demonstrating attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
* Monitor inventory levels, reporting any shortages to the supervisor for timely replenishment.
* Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Previous experience in a similar trade or workshop setting is highly desirable. Basic mechanical knowledge and a willingness to learn are essential.
