We are seeking a qualified and motivated Electrical Engineering Technician (Solar) to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of solar PV systems and battery storage solutions, ensuring high-quality performance and compliance with Australian Standards. Location: Mt Pleasant Western Australia Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $75,000 – $95,000 per annum (plus superannuation)
Responsibilities
* Assist in the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and battery storage units.
* Read, interpret, and implement electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
* Conduct electrical wiring, cabling, and integration for residential and commercial solar projects.
* Perform fault finding, diagnostics, and system troubleshooting for solar and battery installations.
* Ensure installations comply with Clean Energy Council (CEC) standards, Australian electrical codes, and workplace safety regulations.
* Assist engineers with system optimisation, energy efficiency improvements, and technical documentation.
* Maintain accurate job records, site reports, and compliance documentation.
* Liaise with clients to explain system functionality and provide post-installation support.
Qualifications
* Certificate III or higher in Electrotechnology / Electrical Engineering Technician qualification.
* Experience with solar PV and battery systems installation and maintenance.
* Strong understanding of electrical wiring, fault diagnosis, and technical problem-solving.
* Ability to interpret electrical drawings, diagrams, and specifications.
* Valid WA Electrical Licence preferred.
* Current driver's licence.
* Commitment to workplace safety and high-quality workmanship.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
