A growing, investment-backed organisation is seeking an Accountant to join its Brisbane-based finance team. The business operates across a diversified portfolio of entities and is focused on strengthening financial reporting, controls and process capability as it continues to scale.
This role offers exposure to group-level reporting within a structured but evolving environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accountant will support core financial reporting and compliance activities across multiple entities. This is a broad role suited to someone who enjoys structured month-end work, technical accounting and contributing to continuous improvement.
You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure reporting integrity and timely delivery of finance outputs.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing month-end close activities including journals and reconciliations
* Preparing management accounts and supporting analysis
* Maintaining general ledger integrity and balance sheet schedules
* Assisting with statutory reporting and audit requirements
* Supporting BAS, payroll tax and routine compliance obligations
* Contributing to budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
* Assisting with cashflow tracking and financial performance reporting
* Supporting improvements across reporting processes and controls
About you
You're a detail-focused accountant who enjoys technical work and building strong reporting foundations. You're comfortable managing deadlines and working across multiple entities within a structured environment.
You will bring:
* A degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
* CA/CPA studies underway or intention to commence
* Experience across month-end, reconciliations and reporting
* Understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
* Strong Excel capability and confidence with accounting systems
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Clear communication and stakeholder engagement capability
