The role
Reporting into the Studio Manager, you will coordinate all project-based finance and office accounts activities through Xero and a variety of other software tools.
This is a Maternity leave contract starting ASAP. Some flexibility in hours available if needed.
Responsibilities Will Include
* Assist project teams with fee proposal process for new projects
* Support staff with project set up and management in project management software.
* Oversee contract management, including negotiation, interpretation, and execution of contracts.
* Manage billing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Conduct regular project health checks and reporting, providing insights and recommendations
* Manage accounts payable and receivable.
* Prepare and present business reports
* Liaise with external accountants, bank, insurance brokers etc
* Oversee budgeting processes, including the development, implementation, and review of budgets.
* Analyse financial data to identify trends, forecast future needs, and support strategic decision-making.
About you:
* Experience in the specific project finance responsibilities preferred, however strong accounts experience in a project-based firm also encouraged
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to forge excellent relationships with both internal team and external stakeholders
* Can work autonomously in role
* Xero experience preferred plus ability to learn new software and technology quickly
* Can commit to a long term contract role 8+ months, without visa restrictions
