About The Role
John Hunter Engineering provides essential planned and reactive maintenance across all buildings on the John Hunter Hospital campus. We are now seeking a passionate and skilled Fire Safety Officer to support fire safety compliance, deliver staff training, and contribute to the protection of patients, visitors, and staff across this major health precinct.
Responsibilities
- Deliver fire safety training and education programs to hospital staff.
- Assist with fire safety compliance, including annual fire safety statements.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Respond to fire alarms and support emergency procedures.
- Administer passive fire management systems and documentation.
- Support continuous improvement in fire safety across HNELHD buildings on site.
About You
- Fire Safety Officer training (or be working toward completion).
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or progress toward it.
- Extensive experience in fire safety within a relevant setting.
- Strong knowledge of fire regulations, building codes, and compliance standards.
- A current NSW Driver’s Licence.
