This well-established hospital is world leading in providing exceptional care, and outstanding patient experience in all aspects of ENT Services. An exciting role exists for an experienced ANUM or Floor Coordinator to move up into a Perioperative Nurse Unit Manager role.
As
**Nurse Unit Manager**, you will be responsible for the Clinical leadership together with efficient, effective management of all staff, equipment, and resources within the department. You will be responsible for the management and direction of nursing, theatre technician, and support staff allocations across 8 Operating Theatres, Treatment rooms, and Stage 1 Recovery. A key aspect of the role will see you have hands-on responsibility for planning, implementing, and evaluating practices, processes, and services within the department. In Liaison with the Perioperative Services Manager, you will provide input into the development of annual budgets, financial and capital, organisational strategies, and improve service provisions. The Nurse Unit Manager will use current management practices and principles, and effective interpersonal and leadership skills when supervising and managing department activities.
- Previous experience gained in a Perioperative department as a Floor Coordinator, ANUM, or NUM role
- A passion for all aspects of Perioperative Nursing and a dedication to ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
- Well-developed leadership and communication skills, including negotiation and mediation, conflict resolution and problem-solving
- A passion for mentoring junior team members
- Registration with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
