An exciting opportunity has become available for a reliable and dedicated Maintenance Officer at our Coastal Waters village on a Part‐time basis (15.2 hours), Thursday 9.00am to 5.00pm and Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm.
Responsibilities & Expectations
* Connect as One Team: Work closely with other team members to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed effectively, whilst maintaining open lines of communication with residents, management, and other staff to address maintenance issues promptly.
* Realise the Opportunities: Identify and address potential maintenance issues before they become problems, ensuring a safe and well‐maintained environment.
* Make Room for Kindness: Treat all residents with respect and kindness, addressing their maintenance concerns with empathy and understanding.
* Find the Fun: Approach daily tasks with a positive and enthusiastic attitude, making the work environment enjoyable for everyone.
* Lead with Heart: Perform all duties with integrity and honesty, ensuring transparency in all maintenance activities.
About You
You will bring experience as a Maintenance Assistant/Handyman, or a similar hands‐on role, along with the following:
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
* Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner
* High attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety
* Basic computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook, apps)
* Understanding of machinery and tools used in grounds and maintenance work
* Current First Aid/CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
* Ability to take initiative, work independently and contribute to a team
* Internal training and onsite inductions will be provided.
Other Requirements
Please note: The successful applicant must complete a Police Check & will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between the months of May-November, with supporting documentation prior to joining. For selected roles, pre‐employment medical assessments will also be required prior to any employment offers being made.
