Reporting to the Finance Manager, this full-time Finance Officer role will primarily support the Accounts Payable function. The successful candidate will play an integral role within the Finance team, gaining hands-on experience across core finance processes while ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier payments.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical accounting skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment within a growing technology business.
The key responsibilities in this fast-paced environment are:
* Process supplier invoices
* Reconcile, verify, allocate and processing payments
* Sort and match invoices to purchase order and resolve any discrepancies
* Code invoices to the general ledger
* Perform bank account reconciliations
* Processing customer rebates
* Management of vendor claims, including vendor accounts reconciliations
* Analysing accounts and produce month end reports and assist with month end closing
* Ensure all records are maintained with complete and accurate information
* Respond to enquires from internal and external stakeholders
* Prepare financial and business reports
* Providing assistance to the Finance Manager as required
To be successful in this role you will have:
* 2-3 years accounting or finance experience
* A tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related discipline
* Progression toward membership of one of the Accounting Industry bodies
* Clear written and verbal communication skills
* Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and cope with high volumes of work and competing demands
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, contribute to a culture of teamwork and take shared responsibility for achieving results.
* Initiative and drive, with the ability to work under limited supervision
* A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
* Demonstrated working knowledge and experience in the use of a financial system and Microsoft Office software applications in particular Microsoft Excel
