Head of Performance – Premium Health & Fitness Facility - South East Melbourne, VIC Full-Time (30-40 hrs/week, 4-5 days on-site, flexible scheduling, no regular weekends) Base $80K + super + uncapped commissions + performance bonuses (negotiable based on experience) A long-established premium health club that's evolved into so much more than a traditional gym. A true destination for fitness, recovery, and community: 24/7 gym floor, multiple custom studios, reformer Pilates, contrast therapy, infrared sauna, creche, cafe, and expert-led group training.Prioritising quality over quantity, delivering an exceptional, supportive experience. Members are mostly 35-55 general population who come for real results, guidance, and a sense of belonging.Currently expanding the offering, and seeking an outstanding Head of Performance to lead program delivery, coach hands-on, create intelligent programming, and continue to elevate member engagement and retention.What you'll do:Lead the creation, delivery, and progression of 3 x 6-week training blocks – tailored to individuals but delivered in scalable group formatsCoach actively on the floor, forging genuine relationships and providing supportive, empathetic guidanceUtilise the trainer app for programming, progress tracking, and driving the all-inclusive premium membershipsIntegrate wellness and recovery principles – excited to weave in upcoming testing/supplements and holistic optimisationLead with high empathy and positivity, particularly supporting a large female membership baseBalance strong technical programming with exceptional people skills – data-informed but always people-firstPartner with the owner and senior team to increase yield from existing members and strengthen retentionYou are:A proven leader in group/personal training with solid experience in safe, effective programming for general population (35-55, non-elite focus)Outstanding with people – empathetic, solutions-oriented, and genuinely invested in members' journeysPassionate about wellness/recovery beyond workouts (mobility, supplements, holistic health)Growth-oriented: actively seek feedback, improve daily, and stay relevantAvailable for 30-40 hrs on-site, 4 days/week (flexible – weekends covered by casual team)The core values are non-negotiable and guide everything they do.
