Location: opposite Roma St Parklands, St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital – a short walk to Brisbane City
Remuneration: $***** – $*****/hr + 12% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Employee Benefits
As a Theatre Orderly you will assist the nursing staff with safe transfer, repositioning, mobilisation of patients and set up theatre equipment in preparation for procedures.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring patient safety during procedures and transfers
* Handling and setting up hospital equipment in preparation for procedures
* Assisting the transport of patients to and from the ICU
* Following hospital guidelines in relation to Infection Control
* Assisting nursing team members with various patient procedures
* Safe manual handling and effective use of mechanical lifting aids
Qualifications
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Customer service skills
* Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate initiative
* Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospital infection control requirements
