About the role
We are seeking an experienced Tradesman Carpenter/s to join our team at HWC Building Contractors' in Emerald, QLD. These roles are being offered in response to company growth and successful tender awards, with new and exciting projects to be completed in 2026
What you'll be doing
1. Working alongside a team of other tradesmen (carpenters, concreters, block layers, and fitters), machine operators, apprentices, and site supervisors, to deliver predominately commercial and industrial construction projects.
2. Performing a range of carpentry and general construction duties including framing, cladding, installation of windows and doors, fit outs, steel fixing, formwork, placing and finishing of concrete, and structural steel installations.
3. Using hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
4. Collaborating with the wider construction team to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the required standard.
5. Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment.
6. Adhering to all health, safety and quality procedures.
What we're looking for
1. Formal carpentry qualifications.
2. Strong attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
3. Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
4. A positive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to work collaboratively.
5. A commitment to workplace health and safety.
