We require a Medical Secretary to join our team for our busy Pain Clinic located in Claremont working closely with allied health professionals, psychologists, hospitals and other medical specialists.
This is a full-time position however there is some flexibility around start/finish times.
**Essential Criteria**:
- Medical secretary experience, preferably in a specialist practice
- Self-motivation, problem solving skills and the ability to work cohesively in a small team environment essential
- Genie Medical Software experience including billings, bookings, referrals, follow-up appointments
- Downloading, formatting, proof reading and sending out typed medical correspondence
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to adjust and adapt to practice requirements
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook
- Provides excellent customer service to patients, other providers and hospital staff as well as excellent communication skills within the office team environment
- Ability to work in Australia
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination
**Duties**:
- Meeting/greeting of patients
- Answering phones and making appointments
- Coordinating and managing clinic sessions
- Scheduling theatre bookings and preparing admission paperwork for patients
- Liaising with various hospitals, pathology and radiology providers to schedule scans and follow up results prior to clinic
- Accounts - billing/receipting money, banking
- Scanning/entering clinical data
- Management of computerised diary
- Other duties as required as required by the Practice Manager
