We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter for Afternoon Shift within our Engineering team.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will undertake a range of mechanical engineering works within the Aspen facility, including production and packing machine setting, preventative and reactive maintenance on these machines, continuous improvement projects and major equipment projects and repairs.
The type of activities you will be involved in include:
Maintaining plant and equipment in good working order in accordance with schedules established by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Providing advice and support to production operators.
Carrying out repairs and maintenance work in accordance to maintenance schedules.
Ensuring all work reports are properly maintained and logged in a timely manner.
Identifying opportunities to improve maintenance programs and maintain production equipment at the highest level of availability
Undertaking periodic inspections of work to ensure high standards are maintained.
Ensuring GMP compliance, quality and safety standards are adhered to at all times
You will be a qualified Mechanical tradesperson, with previous experience in a manufacturing maintenance role within the pharmaceutical or food industry. You will possess excellent diagnostic and trouble shooting skills and have experience across pneumatics, hydraulics, machining and welding. You will have good technical knowledge (including computer literacy and CMMS) and a sound understanding of highly regulated environments.
Excellent communication skills, an ability to work in a team environment and a strong commitment to safety are also imperative for this role.
