About The Role
The Senior Payroll Officer plays a pivotal role in delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services for all City of Melbourne employees. You'll own complex payroll processing and reconciliations, resolve escalations, mentor colleagues, and drive continuous improvements across processes and systems to ensure employee experience is at the centre.
As a subject matter expert in payroll legislation, enterprise agreement interpretation, taxation, and system functionality, you'll provide technical expertise and oversight across end-to-end payroll operations. You'll support the delivery of accurate reporting, audit and compliance and contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team culture within the People, Culture & Safety Branch.

* Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, and enterprise agreements.

* Experience in coaching and supporting others.
