Legal Practitioner; Solicitor - Family Civil Law - ATSILS Ipswich

Role Purpose

Our Ipswich Office is looking for an experienced Family/Civil Law Legal Practitioner with a strong interest in social justice. As one of Queensland's largest legal practices, we offer a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

About You
* You must be admitted as a Legal Practitioner in Queensland or hold (or be eligible for immediate acquisition of) a current Practising Certificate and be admitted as a Legal Practitioner or Barrister of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the Australian High Court.
* Must be the holder (or be eligible for immediate application) of a current Queensland Government Blue Card prior to commencing work.
* You should demonstrate a high level of professional service and capacity across a wide range of Family and Civil Law proceedings (including casework relating to Child Protection and Domestic Violence applications; plus, casework relating to Civil Litigation generally, such as Anti-discrimination matters, Estates, and Consumer Protection type matters.
* Ideally, you will have a minimum of two years of full-time experience, resilience in handling complex cases, including Domestic Violence and Child Protection work, and the ability to develop culturally competent service skills.

For experienced Legal Practitioners, there is an opportunity for specialization as an Independent Children's Lawyer and Separate Representative, with support for attending required events and ongoing practice.
