If you are an experienced Maintenance Fitter with a passion for maintaining machinery within a manufacturing facility, this is an excellent opportunity for you. Located in Sydney's West, this Australian-owned food manufacturing business has been around for over 70 years and is comprised of over 500 staff members in total and has been delivering outstanding services to its reputable clients for years.
For this particular full-time position, you will be part of a team of motivated and talented individuals, and you will be able to leverage their support and guidance to grow your industrial maintenance skills further.
**Roster - Choose your preference**
With three shifts available, you have the ability to choose either a fixed day, afternoon, or night shift roster.
**Salary**
Please let me know your expected hourly rate/salary and I will negotiate on your behalf. This employer recognizes the varying level of skills across tradespersons and is happy to negotiate an hourly rate pending your experience between $45/hr - $50/hr plus shift loading & overtime rates.
**Responsibilities**
Reporting to the Plant Engineering Manager, as an experienced maintenance electrician, your responsibilities will revolve around troubleshooting, and completing preventative and reactive works on machinery and related facilities equipment/systems in various rooms to ensure works are performed in a timely manner.
- Troubleshooting using knowledge
- Contribution of ideas and input to improved systems, procedures, and maintenance.
- Ensuring all work is performed in compliance with Safety requirements.
- Assist in capital and continuous improvement projects as directed
- Assisting in evaluating new equipment and components.
- Operation and Service of Machinery
- Process Improvement of Equipment
- Coordinate and collaborate with contractors as well as other departments regarding reliable maintenance of various sections of the plant.
