Job Description
The role of Digital Communications Officer is a key position in our team, responsible for managing and enhancing our digital presence across various platforms. The successful candidate will be an experienced professional with strong writing, editing, and visual communication skills.
As the Digital Communications Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and timely provision of services to our associations, working closely with the General Manager and other team members from time to time.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage, update and advise on website improvements using relevant CMS platforms.
* Design digital and print collateral, including flyers, reports, and promotional materials, using tools such as Canva or Adobe Suite.
* Maintain and update a library of digital assets and brand templates for use across all AATE-managed organisations.
* Monitor and report using tools such as Google Analytics or platform-specific insights.
* Assist in the setup and branding of online events and webinars (e.g. Zoom, Eventbrite, Teams).
* Liaise with State and Territory association administrators to assist with website and membership maintenance.
* Provide input into the promotion and development of digital member resources.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Demonstrated experience in digital marketing and communications.
* Strong writing, editing, and visual communication skills.
* Proficiency in content management systems.
* Experience with iMIS and/or Wild Apricot platforms.
* Familiarity with email marketing tools and social media platforms.
* Working knowledge of graphic design software (e.g. Canva, Adobe InDesign).
* Project management skills.
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across a small, multitasking team.
* Ability to prioritise competing demands while working independently on a part-time schedule.
