Seeking an accomplished Actuary to join our team. As a senior member, you will be responsible for data analysis, report development, and mathematical modeling.
This 12-month contract position offers the opportunity to work in Melbourne or Geelong and may be extended based on performance.
Candidates with 2-4 years of experience are preferred for this level position.
Key Responsibilities:
* Data Analysis: Extract, cleanse, and prepare data from multiple sources for use in reports and analyses.
* Report Development: Develop and update regular performance monitoring reports for stakeholders.
* Statutory Compliance: Support statutory requirements of the NDIS Act 2013 by providing data and analysis for reporting purposes.
* Mathematical Modeling: Utilize statistical and mathematical techniques for analytical tasks, including actuarial monitoring, data tabulations, scheme projects, and cost-benefit analyses.
* Model Design: Design actuarial, statistical, and mathematical models to address business issues.
* Ad Hoc Requests: Undertake ad hoc modeling requests and report production as needed.
* Communication: Effectively communicate work progress and outcomes both verbally and in writing.
Essential Criteria:
* Academic Qualifications: Relevant academic qualifications in Actuarial Studies or Mathematics/Statistics, progressing towards Associate and/or Fellowship qualifications.
* Work Experience: 2-4 years of relevant experience.
