Hanrob Canberra Animal Attendant (Boarding/Daycare) At Hanrob Pet Hotels, we're passionate pet people delivering health, happiness, and wellbeing to Aussie pet families.
With over 40 years of experience and a national presence, we're the trusted name in pet boarding and daycare.We're now looking for energetic, reliable Casual Animal Attendants to join our Pet Hotel & Doggy Daycare team in Canberra's southern suburbs.
Successful applicants must be available to start shifts as early as 7am, work weekends and throughout school holiday periods.What you'll be doing:Caring for boarding and daycare pets - feeding, grooming, enrichmentFrequent cleaning and upkeep of facility to maintain a high level of hygiene and safetyHealth checks and general animal husbandrySupervising dogs and managing their behaviours to maintain overall wellbeing and safetyProviding exercise and enrichment to petsProviding friendly service to pet ownersCreating and distributing media content for our pet owners through videos and photosEnsuring accurate record keeping and entering information in our booking systemsSupporting your team to ensure the best outcomes for our furry guestsWhat we're looking for:Previous experience working or volunteering with animals is preferredAvailability on weekends and school holiday periodsPhysically fit and comfortable working indoors and outdoors with pets of all sizesConfident communicators with a friendly, professional approach to customer serviceReliable, positive team players who enjoy fast-paced, hands on workAbility to work independently and willing to ask for guidance when neededBe committed to working safely and following instructions, policies and procedures at all timesAvailable to attend a lawful unpaid work trial shift (operated within The Fair Work Ombudsman guidelines)Please note: This is a physically active role that requires the ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, bend, kneel, and handle animals (up to 50kg).
You must be able to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, and comfortably interact with pets, team members, and customers.
