Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Night Auditor to join our Front Office team in Sofitel Brisbane Central. As a Night Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth overnight operations and maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction.
What you will be doing:
* Balance daily transactions and prepare overnight reports with precision and accuracy
* Verify and reconcile guest accounts, ensuring all charges are correctly posted
* Provide exceptional customer service during check-in, check-out, and throughout the night shift
* Assist guests with inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally
* Maintain a safe and secure environment for both guests and employees
* Follow and complete the Night Audit checklist to ensure all required tasks are accomplished
* Collaborate with other departments to address any discrepancies or concerns
* Generate and distribute various financial and operational reports
* Support the front desk team with administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
You will excel in this role if you have:
* Previous experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar role within the hospitality industry (essential)
* Proficiency in hotel management software, particularly Opera Cloud, and Microsoft Excel
* Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
* Basic accounting knowledge and understanding of financial processes
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to security procedures
* Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service
* Adaptability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Flexibility to work overnight shifts on a rotating schedule
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong organisational skills and time management abilities.
