Electrical Technician Role
As an Electrical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our locomotives, rail cars, wagons, and plant. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain and repair these assets, ensuring they meet safety and reliability standards.
Key tasks will include performing routine maintenance and fault repairs using best practices, adhering to technical specifications and Workplace Health and Safety regulations, and maintaining accurate records and documentation of asset conditions, maintenance activities, and costs.
The successful candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings, as well as experience in repairing and maintaining locomotives and rolling stock.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will have knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Workplace Health and Safety Act.
Requirements
* Hold a mandatory electrical trade qualification or equivalent.
* Possess proficient computer skills.
* Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills.
* Experience in fault-finding and troubleshooting is highly valued.
