Overview
Lives Lived Well delivers a range of community and residential Alcohol and Other Drug programs across Queensland, Current South Wales, and South Australia, supporting thousands of people each year to overcome AOD-related challenges and move forward in life. Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking a Clinical Services Manager to lead our South Coast and Blue Mountains teams, overseeing a diverse portfolio of services, including a residential rehabilitation (Watershed), transition houses, and both youth and adult day programs. Our services span eight sites across the South Coast and surrounding regions, including Lithgow, Katoomba, Nowra, and Wollongong. The role involves regular travel across the service area, ensuring hands-on leadership and connection with staff and clients at each location.
Your Prospect
We are looking for a energetic leader with a proven ability to inspire, influence, and drive performance across diverse teams. While clinical expertise is valued, your strategic leadership, operational acumen, and ability to foster a high-performing, collaborative culture are paramount. With six direct reports and a broader team of around 50 (including casuals), you will provide expert operational management and maximise clinical outcomes across our varied programs. Your leadership will be key in aligning service delivery with organisational goals, maintaining solid relationships with funders and stakeholders, and ensuring sustainable, impactful outcomes for clients. You’ll manage program budgets, empower your team to deliver client-centred care, and facilitate collaboration with other LLW services. The role also includes oversight of facilities management and safety across all sites. This full-time, on-site position offers a competitive salary, salary packaging options, use of a company vehicle for travel, and access to a wide range of benefits.
What We Are Looking For
You are a people-focused, innovative leader who thrives in a dynamic environment. With substantial experience in Health Management—whether in AOD, Mental Health, Aged Care, or Community sectors—you understand the complexities of managing a diverse portfolio and have the skills to meet these challenges.
You’ll Also Bring
- A collaborative, empathetic leadership style—firm but fair, supportive, and able to support your team through this leadership change
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of building and maintaining effective partnerships
- A commitment to inclusive, culturally secure client care, with cultural capability and awareness
- The ability to remain calm and pragmatic under pressure, and to adapt priorities as needed
- A solutions-focused mindset, making practical decisions in a balanced, relational way
- Resilience, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting people on their recovery journey
You will hold tertiary qualifications in Health, Community, or Human Services, a current Australian Driver’s Licence, and be able to obtain a National Police Check.
Why Join Us?
You’ll be joining a team led by a manager who is approachable, supportive, and brings a wealth of experience across adult and youth AOD services. Her leadership style is firm but fair, with a focus on guidance and support rather than hierarchy. You’ll benefit from regular one-to-ones, coaching, and a collaborative, balanced approach that values team wellbeing and professional growth.
Some Of Our Other Benefits Include
- Five extra paid leave days per year for your wellbeing
- Flexible working options and portable long service leave in NSW
- Use of a company vehicle for travel across service sites
