Join a large Federal Government department within a market intelligence and analytics function. This team builds national modelling and forecasting capabilities to inform critical market monitoring in its sector.
Your new role
As the Modeller, Financial Forecast Modelling (EL1/EL2), you will design, develop and enhance production-grade forecasting and estimation models and contribute to the delivery of a national demand model for the sector. Working with business owners, data owners and technical stakeholders, you will scope requirements, build robust code, and operationalise solutions within enterprise environments.
What you'll need to succeed
* Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining complex forecasting/estimation models at production level.
* Strong technical skills in R and R Shiny.
* Proficiency in SQL, including ETL, data extraction and building scalable data pipelines.
* Experience in data modelling and dimensional modelling, with excellent documentation and version control practices.
* Proven stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
* Strong analytical problem-solving, attention to detail and sound judgement.
* Experience modelling company/sector financial performance/viability and/or supply and demand is highly regarded.
* Ability to work independently across competing priorities and meet delivery timeframes.
* Classification: EL1 or EL2 (scope tailored to successful candidate).
